Martin Boswell OB (1925-2012)

Old Bedalian, innovator and farming pioneer Martin Boswell has died at a Sandown nursing home, aged 86.

The Isle of Wight County Press Online recently published an obituary detailing his life.

“Born in Holland Park, London, his father was talks organiser for the BBC but, from the age of five, he followed his mother’s love of the countryside and farming.”

“Educated at Bedales, he studied agriculture at Reading University until the war and he joined the 2nd Gurkha Rifles in India, an experience he drew upon throughout his life.”
