From agricultural projects to rugs

OB Charles Bevan saw a gap in the market for Handmade Nepalese Rugs while designing and evaluating agricultural projects for multi-lateral funding agencies in Nepal. He bought some locally made rugs and eventually set up a business buying rugs in Nepal and selling them in Europe. He uses UK designs by up-and-coming artists and gets them made by the craftsmen in Nepal. Read more about his story in the OB newsletter or see his web site
