OBs to talk about higher education

By Sarah Oakley, University Liaison Co-ordinator

For the second year Bedales is hosting the Higher Education and Careers Fair on Saturday 16 June. This is when our Old Bedalians from a great variety of fields and endeavours come back to talk to 6.1s about the successes and pitfalls of their chosen paths. This offers a wonderful opportunity for students to ask questions about courses, admission processes and institutions that are not published in promotional materials. Our students hear about more personal career paths that our OBs have taken, and also allows current students to catch up with old friends.

Bedales School is one of the UK’s top independent private co-education boarding schools. Bedales comprises three schools situated in Steep, near Petersfield, Hampshire: Dunannie (ages 3–8), Dunhurst (ages 8–13) and Bedales itself (ages 13–18). Established in 1893 Bedales School puts emphasis on the Arts, Sciences, voluntary service, pastoral care, and listening to students’ views. Bedales is acclaimed for its drama, theatre, art and music. The Headmaster is Keith Budge.
