OB Dan Wheeler running for Cecily’s Fund

On 22 April 2012, one week before he turns 30, Old Bedalian, Dan Wheeler will be running the London Marathon for the charity Cecily’s Fund which supports and educates children in Zambia who have been orphaned by AIDS, and which was set-up in memory of OB Cecily Eastwood.

Bedales School

Dan, who started training six months ago, admits to not being a natural athlete, although he was nicknamed ‘Relentless Dan’ at school because of his unfailing determination to keep running, either with or without the ball! In 2010 he ran a half marathon, and is aiming to complete the London Marathon in 3 hours, 14 minutes or less.

Dan is aiming to raise £3,000 and would really appreciate any donations, big or small, which can be made online at http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/danwheeler with all money raised going to Cecily’s Fund.
